Adult Mixed Martial Arts

This is our core adult training program.  The program encompasses the training and methods from MUAY THAI, BOXING, WRESTLING, BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU, KUNG FU San Soo and STICK AND KNIFE TRAINING.

MUAY THAI

Thai Boxing is a form of Martial Arts practiced in several Southeast Asian countries, including Thailand.  The "Art of the eight Limbs" is the single most effective striking art.  This art uses fists and elows, knees and legs, and is for those who want to learn a practical method of self defense.  It is a challenging program and a rigorous cardiovascular workout for all skill levels.  The classes consist of partner drills while concentrating on learning the skills of a professional Thai Boxer.

BOXING

Although boxing is a combat sport, our boxing program does not include sparring drills.  The program does however, include rigorous physical training, partner drills, focus pad drills, and heavy bag training.  Learn the elusive footwork, head movement and power punching skills of the boxer without the physical sparring contact.  This class includes the cardiovascular training that is characteristic of a professional boxer.

BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

Jiu Jitsu is a grapling sport which originated among the Samurai warriors of Japan.  The sport consists of grapling with an opponent and pinning, joing locking or choking an opponent into submission.  Our program also utilizes the explosive takedowns from wrestling.  This class focuses on ground fighting and teaches how to control an opponent through submission holds as well as how to escape submission holds

MMA (MIXED MARTIAL ARTS)

The student will use partner drills to train in a variety of arts.  These arts include boxing combinations, Jiu Jitsu submissions and wrestling takedowns as well as striking with Muay Thai kicks, elbows and knees.  The class focuses on facing and defeating an opponent.  Learn to train like a UFC pro without the heavy contact.

SELF DEFENSE

This class trains students in a variety of arts, focusing on the skills which are useful in self defense.  This class teaches teh strategic and physical skills of "hitting" and subduing your attacker.  The arts of Kung Fu San Soo, Moder Arnis and Small Circle Jiu Jitsu teach skills used when standing.  The arts of grapling and other Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques teach the necessary ground fighting skills.  We include training with sticks, knife and staff.  The student will learn foot work, striking angles, flow drills, trapping drills, disarms, joint locks and take downs.  This class is taught on a one on one basis ( private ) or as a group class.
