FITNESS--This program encompasses both cardio workouts and Power Yoga classes as well as Power Nutrition Program. POWER KICK BOXING This is a high intensity class with an hour of non stop kickboxing. The equipment used consists of 12 oz weight gloves, full length kicking bags, blocks, medicine ball and jump ropes. You will punch and kick your way into awesome shape with a 45 minute cardio and contact ( on the bags ) kickboxing and jump rope workout. Then we pair up with a partner in class for a 15 minute conditioning workout using blocks and medicine balls targeting your core, upper body and lower body. KICK BOXING BOOT CAMP Cross training is one of the best ways to get in shape. A boot camp class is just that. This class is done in 3 minute intervals of weight lifting, alternated with high intensity cardio drills like sprints, jumping ropes, step straddles, punches and kicks on the bag, and medicine ball workout. This class is for the athlete who wants to improve their cardio strength, muscular endurance, speed, and coordination. This workout is also for the person who wants results targeting every muscle in the body and burning lots of calories! The equipment used is weights, resistance tubing, fitness balls, medicine balls, core boards, ab wheels, jump ropes, steps, blocks, bags, twist boards, gliding discs, etc. TURBO KICK BOXING Cardio, cardio, cardio!! This class is used in over 20,000 clubs across the U.S. and world wide! Turbo Kickboxing is the best of both worlds--group exercise combined with martial arts. This work out is a complete cardio challenge with a sport specific warm u0p, bouts of intense training, easy to follow combinations, specific strength endurance training and a Thai Chi like cool down. POWER YOGA These one hour classes will have you leaving energized, rejuvenated, with a feeling that you had a great work out! This class is a combination of the traditional Hatha Yoga practice with bouts of Vinyasa Flows done in repetition. Yoga poses are a variety of postures that can be held for several breaths or done in sequence and repetition. This form of yoga practice strengthens the crdio and respiratory system, increases muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility. The class also focuses on balance, core strength, breathing, and mental focus. The entire class is taught for all levels. Modifications are shown for your specific needs. Each class is followed by a relaxation period, leaving you feeling relaxed and energized at the same time. The mind will feel more clear, focused and de-stressed. POWER YOGA/PILATES This class is done the same as above but with addional Pilates exercises incorporated after each Vinyassa Flow. The Pilates exercises focus on all the muscles of the core, increasing strength for stabilization of the abdominals, back, pelvis and gluteous muscles. Besides the strengthening of the core, Pilates also focuses on toning and strengthening the upper and lower body. We have now learned that without a strong core, injury of the back and other parts of the body can occur. This workout will give our bodies needed strength in the major muscle groups, as well as good stabilization strength. POWER YOGA PUMP-N-STRETCH This class combines the benefits of weight lifting and yoga together. You will work muscles you never have worked before. Your Yoga practice is only enhanced when you add light or heavy hand weights to your workout. Weights are used while holding a yoga asana pose. This will require you to use your core to stabilize your posture while targeting a specific muscle group with your weights. Because you are in a yoga pose, you work the muscles deeper while holding a stretched position. This class will increase your flexibility, strength, muscular endurance, burn fat, and target and shape specific muscles all at the same time. Yoga Training Workshops These workshops are offered periodically to teach students proper form and alignment of poses, breathing techniques, and modifications to prevent injuries. Instruction is presented systematically to build on each student's ability level. These workshops are beneficial both to provide a solid foundation for beginners as well as to improve form and correct any imbalances in the practice of more advanced yoga students. Power Fit Nutrition and Weight Loss Programs The Power Fit Nutrition Program is designed to educate, inspire, and guide students to meet their fitness goals. The instructor provides detailed nutritional information, customized diet and workout plans and ongoing support during each three-month phase of the program. Phase I establishes good nutrition as a lifestyle and builds a strong physical foundation through strength and cardio workouts. Phase II involves challenging graduates of Phase I through more intense and challenging workouts to achieve a strong and enduring athletic body. Our participants have lost up to 22 inches from all over the body while keeping great muscle tone.
